Tanguis

This cotton was used by pre-Inca cultures, more than 5000 years ago, to make fabrics that have preserved their properties to this day. These bales and textiles belong to the Paracas Culture and the Nazca Culture, in the Ica region, to the south of Peru. While its culture is attested from the XXV century to. C. in Huaca Prieta (D. La Libertad, Peru). This cotton became universal in South America and the West Indies where Christopher Columbus took it.
